Terms of Service

These terms cover clankerui.dev, the Clanker UI component registry and Clanker UI accounts (together, "the service"). By using the service you agree to them.

Clanker UI is run by Manu Sharma, an individual based in India ("we", "us"). You can reach us at support@clankerui.dev.

The service

Clanker UI is a library of React components for building AI agent interfaces. You install components into your own project with the shadcn CLI, which copies their source into your code.

  • Free components are open to everyone under the MIT License.
  • Pro components need a Pro plan and a personal access token. Their use is governed by the Clanker UI Pro Licence, which is part of these terms.

Your account

  • You sign in with a link we email you. Keep access to that inbox secure; anyone who can read it can sign in as you.
  • Your access token is personal. Keep it out of public code and never share it. If you think it has leaked, rotate it from your account at once.
  • You must be at least 16 to hold an account, and the details you give us must be accurate.

Plans and payment

  • Our plans and prices are on the pricing page. Prices are in US dollars, and local taxes are added at checkout.
  • Payments are handled by Dodo Payments, our merchant of record. Dodo Payments takes the payment, charges any tax, issues the receipt and handles billing questions about the transaction. Its buyer terms apply to the payment itself.
  • Pro Yearly renews every year until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your account. You keep access until the end of the year you have paid for.
  • Pro Lifetime, Team and single components are single payments, with no renewal.
  • If you paid for single components in the 30 days before you move to Pro Lifetime, what you paid for them comes off its price.
  • Refunds follow our refund and cancellation policy.
  • We may change prices for future payments. A change never affects a period you have already paid for, and we tell yearly subscribers before their renewal price changes.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • share your token or account, or let anyone else install Pro components with it;
  • redistribute Pro components, or otherwise break the Pro Licence;
  • scrape the registry, or download it in bulk beyond what your own projects need;
  • probe, overload or attack the service, or try to get around its access controls or rate limits;
  • use the service for anything unlawful.

We log installs from the registry so we can protect it. If a token looks shared or leaked, we may suspend it while we look into it.

Ending access

You can stop using the service and ask us to close your account at any time.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. Where we can, we tell you first and give you a chance to put it right. What happens to the Pro components you already installed is set out in the Pro Licence.

Changes to the service

We keep improving Clanker UI, so components and features change. We may also change these terms; when the change matters, we tell account holders by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms.

No warranty

The service and the components are provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. We do our best to keep the service running and the components working, but we cannot promise they will always be available, free of errors, or right for your project.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost profits, data or business. Our total liability for any claim about the service is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. If you are a consumer, you also keep any protections that the law where you live gives you.

Privacy Policy

This policy explains what we collect when you use clankerui.dev, the Clanker UI registry and Clanker UI accounts, why we collect it, and what you can ask of us.

Clanker UI is run by Manu Sharma, an individual based in India ("we", "us"). We are responsible for your data. You can reach us at support@clankerui.dev.

What we collect

Visiting the site. We count visits with PostHog and Tracwell, set up so that they put no cookies and nothing in your browser's storage. They record the pages you view, the site that sent you, your browser and device type, and a rough location worked out from your IP address. We use this only to see how the site is used.

Hosting. Cloudflare serves the site and runs the registry. Like any web host, it handles your IP address and request details to deliver pages and to protect the service from attacks. Its logs are short-lived.

The waitlist. If you join the waitlist, we keep your email address, the time you joined and your country. Each entry is encrypted before it is stored, with a key kept offline. We use your address only to tell you when Clanker UI launches, and then we delete the list.

Your account. If you have an account, we keep:

  • your email address and when you signed in;
  • your plan, and whether your licence is active;
  • your access token, stored only in a scrambled (hashed) form, so we cannot read it back;
  • a log of installs from the registry: the time, the component, the token used, your IP address and country.

The install log is how we spot a token that has leaked or is being shared. We keep it for twelve months.

Payments. Dodo Payments, our merchant of record, collects your payment details under its own privacy policy. We never see or store your card. From Dodo Payments we receive your name, email address, country, plan, the amount paid and the payment's status.

Emails. We send sign-in links and account emails through an email delivery provider. If you write to us, we keep the conversation for as long as we need it to help you.

What we do not do

  • We do not sell or rent your data.
  • We do not show ads or track you across other sites.
  • The only cookie we set is the one that keeps you signed in to your account. It is needed for the account to work.

Why we use it

  • To provide the service you asked for: your account, your licence, sign-in emails and installs.
  • Our legitimate interests: keeping the service secure, enforcing the Pro Licence, and understanding how the site is used.
  • Your consent: the waitlist. You can withdraw it at any time.
  • The law: keeping records that tax and accounting rules require.

Who processes it for us

  • Cloudflare: hosting, the registry and our database.
  • Dodo Payments: payments, tax and receipts.
  • PostHog and Tracwell: visit statistics.
  • Our email delivery provider: sending emails.

Each handles data only to provide its service to us. Some are based outside your country, including in the United States. Where the law requires it, data sent abroad is covered by appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

  • Account data: while your account is open. When it closes, we delete it within 30 days, except records the law asks us to keep.
  • Install log: twelve months.
  • The waitlist: deleted after the launch email goes out.
  • Visit statistics: kept in aggregate.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, including under the GDPR, the UK GDPR and India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, you can ask us to:

  • show you the data we hold about you;
  • correct it;
  • delete it;
  • give you a copy of it;
  • stop using it.

Email support@clankerui.dev and we will reply within 30 days. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

The service is not meant for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we update the date on this page and tell account holders by email.

Refund and Cancellation Policy

This policy covers payments for Clanker UI Pro plans. Dodo Payments, our merchant of record, processes every payment and every refund.

Refunds

A Pro plan or a single component gives you the source code straight away, so a payment cannot be undone in the usual sense. Still, we want you to be happy with it.

  • Within 14 days of paying, if something is genuinely wrong, write to support@clankerui.dev and we will put it right: by fixing the problem or by refunding you.
  • After 14 days, or once you have installed Pro components, refunds are at our discretion.
  • Single components are not refunded once paid. If one does not work as described, write to us and we will fix it.
  • When we refund a payment, the licence it paid for ends, its access tokens stop working, and you must stop using the Pro components obtained under it.

To ask for a refund, email us from your account's address with your order number from the Dodo Payments receipt and a line about what went wrong. Once we approve it, Dodo Payments returns the money to the way you paid. Your bank may take 5 to 10 business days to show it.

Cancelling Pro Yearly

  • You can cancel at any time from your account, or by emailing us.
  • Cancelling stops the next renewal. You keep access until the end of the year you have paid for.
  • We do not refund part of a year, unless the law requires us to.
  • After your year ends, the Pro components you installed while subscribed stay licensed for the projects you used them in. You just can't install or update Pro components until you subscribe again.

Pro Lifetime, Team and single components are single payments, so there is nothing to cancel.

Disputes and chargebacks

If something is wrong with a payment, please write to us first: it is faster for you. While a chargeback is open, the licence it covers is suspended.

Your legal rights

If the law where you live gives you a right to cancel online purchases, as it does in the EU and the UK, you ask at checkout for access to start at once. You then accept that the right to cancel ends once you install Pro components. This does not affect the 14-day promise above, or any right that the law does not allow to be waived.

Clanker UI Pro Licence

Version 1, 21 October 2026

This licence covers the Pro components of Clanker UI. The free components are under the MIT License in LICENSE.

Clanker UI is run by Manu Sharma, an individual based in India ("we", "us"). You can reach us at support@clankerui.dev.

1. Words used here

  • Pro components: the components marked Pro on clankerui.dev. That covers every file the Clanker UI registry serves only with a token, and every later version of those files.
  • Licence: your right to use Pro components under one of the plans in section 4.
  • Seat: one named person. A seat cannot be shared between people.
  • Token: the personal key that lets you install Pro components from the registry.
  • End product: an app, site or other product you, or a client of yours, make. The Pro components have to be part of it, not the product itself.

2. What you may do

For each seat you hold, that person may use, copy and modify Pro components in any number of end products, personal or commercial, their own or their clients'. You may deploy an end product publicly, including its built code.

3. What you may not do

  • Redistribute the source of Pro components, in whole or in part, as or inside a component library, UI kit, template, starter kit, theme, design system, course or code generator.
  • Publish the source anywhere it can be obtained without a licence. That includes public repositories, packages, gists, and sites that share code.
  • Share your token or your seat, or let anyone outside your seats install from the registry with it.
  • Remove or change the licence notice the registry adds to each Pro file.
  • Use Pro components to train a model, or give them to a service that does.

4. Plans

  • Early Access. Free and by invitation only. It ends on 10 December 2026, or on another date we tell you by email. Until then you may install and update Pro components. Pro components in an end product you made during early access stay licensed for that end product after it ends. When early access ends, installs and updates stop unless you move to a paid plan.
  • Pro Yearly. You may install and update Pro components while your subscription is active. Anything you installed while it was active stays licensed for the end products you used it in, even after the subscription ends.
  • Pro Lifetime. You may install and update Pro components for as long as we offer Clanker UI Pro, with no renewal.
  • Single component. The rights of Pro Lifetime for one person, limited to the one Pro component paid for and the components it is built from.
  • Team. The rights of Pro Lifetime, for the number of seats paid for, from 2 to 25. The team's owner assigns the seats and may move a seat to someone new when a person leaves the team.

5. Payment

Dodo Payments is the merchant of record for every paid plan. It takes the payment, adds any local taxes, and issues the receipt, and its buyer terms apply to the transaction. We never see or keep your card details.

6. Cancelling and refunds

  • You can cancel Pro Yearly at any time from your account. Your access continues to the end of the period you have paid for, and there are no partial refunds.
  • A paid plan gives you the source straight away, so a payment cannot be undone in the usual sense. If something is genuinely wrong, write to support@clankerui.dev within 14 days of paying and we will put it right.
  • Requests after 14 days, or from accounts that have already installed Pro components, are at our discretion.
  • Single components are not refunded once paid. If one does not work as described, write to us and we will fix it.
  • When we refund a payment, the licence it paid for ends and its tokens stop working. You must stop using the Pro components obtained under it.
  • None of this limits any right the law where you live gives you.

7. Ending a licence

  • We may end a licence for a serious breach of these terms, chiefly redistribution or sharing a token. Ending it stops the tokens and does not oblige us to refund anything.
  • You must take down any copies you redistributed.
  • End products you shipped before the breach, and that do not themselves break section 3, may stay as they are.

8. Ownership

Pro components remain ours. A licence gives you the rights written here and nothing more.

9. No warranty

Pro components are provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. We are not liable for any claim, damages or other liability arising from them or from their use. Where the law does not allow that, our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

10. Changes

We may publish a new version of this licence for future versions of Pro components. The version you accepted keeps applying to what you obtained under it.

11. Law

This licence is governed by the laws of India.
